| Credit Card Fraud
Here is an interesting story which demonstrates how far some people will go to commit fraud. Michael Dantorio was accused of mail fraud and credit card fraud after he used the personal information of at least 17 deceased individuals to acquire credit cards in their names. His attempted fraud resulted in charges of over $60,000. To commit the crime, Dantorio used private mailboxes under the names of the deceased persons. He then applied for credit cards, in their names, and had the cards and information sent to several private mailboxes he had set-up. once he received the cards he quickly accumulated enormous amounts of charges and bills.
